Mac - Internet Explorer
On the menu, select Edit, then Preferences. A dialogue box will open. Scroll down the list on the left-hand side of the box until you see the section for Receiving Files. Highlight Cookies under Receiving Files (I think it's the third option under Receiving Files). Once Cookies is highlighted, the content to the right-hand side of the box changes to show you the current configurations for receiving cookies. Where it says, When Receiving Cookies make sure the drop-down box is displaying Never Ask. This should ensure that your browser stores the "per-session" cookie we use to authenticate your session. Click on OK to store this new setting.
PC - Internet Explorer version 6.x
To adjust this setting in Internet Explorer, open your browser, click on Tools, Internet Options, choose the Privacy Tag. At the bottom of this dialogue box is an area which reads: Web Sites: To override cookie handling for individual web sites click the Edit button". Click the edit button. In the field marked Address of Web site type http://www.heinemann.com. Click on Allow. Click OK then click OK again to close all of the dialogue boxes. At this point you should be set, but it's usually good measure to close the browser and reopen it to be sure the new settings are in place.
PC - Internet Explorer version 5.x
On your PC, click on Start at the bottom left-hand side of the screen. Then click on Settings, Control Panel, Internet Options. In the Internet Options window, be sure Internet is selected (it's the default), and click on the Security tab. It should read that the security level for this zone is Medium. If it doesn't read Medium, clicking on default settings should automatically set the security to medium. Medium security *should* allow for the storing of "per-session" cookies--the type we use to authenticate you during the shopping and checkout process.
